Cases of Enforced Disappearances
In August 2025, 98 cases of enforced disappearances and illegal detentions were reported across 13 districts of Balochistan, as well as in Karachi and Multan. The districts with the highest number of cases were Quetta (21), Kech (19), and Dera Bugti (14).
During the same month, 32 individuals were released across Balochistan after being subjected to mental and physical torture while in custody.
Extrajudicial Killings
Extrajudicial killings by Pakistani forces in Balochistan persisted during August 2025. Reports indicate that individuals were detained and killed without due process or disclosure of reasons. During the month, 11 people were extrajudicially killed.
Nizar Muhammad
On August 4, 2025, a state-backed death squad, supported by the Pakistani Military, extrajudicially killed Nizar Muhammad son of Salam Jan Siapad, a resident of the Wadh area in Kharan district of Balochistan.
Liaqat Saki
On August 13, 2025, The Mutilated body of Liaqat son of Saki Dad, a resident of Shapkol, was discovered in the Jusak area of Turbat. Liaqat had been forcibly disappeared by the Pakistani army from an auto garage on August 9, 2025.
Mehmood
On August 11, 2025, in Gomazi Tump tehsil of Kech district, a mortar shell fired by Pakistani Frontier Corps landed in a residential area, Injuring 4 children. Unfortunately 12 year-old Mehmood son of Abdul Ghafoor, died at the scene from his injuries.
Nawaz Baloch
On 11 August 2025, in Awaran district the Pakistan Army summoned Nawaz Baloch son of Lal Bakhsh and a resident of Bazdad Awaran, to the central military camp. He was unlawfully detained for three days and subjected to severe torture. On August 14, 2025 his bullet-riddled body was discovered in the Rekan area of Awaran district of Balochistan.
Hassan Jan
On August 11, 2025 Hassan Jan son of Jan Muhammad, a resident of Urz Muhammad village area of Hoshab tehsil of Kech district was forcibly disappeared by the state-backed Death squads. His tortured and mutilated body was discovered on 15 August from Panjgur district of Balochistan.
Hatim Dilpul 22 year-old Hatim Dilpul, a resident of Tejaban area of Kech district was targeted while performing a routine task carrying groceries and essential supplies to his elderly grandparents in the mountainous area of Tejaban. According to reports, Pakistan’s death squad’s indiscriminantly fired upon him leaving his body riddled with bullets. His remains were later recovered on August 15, 2025.
Bohair Baloch
On August 20, 2025, Pakistani military personnel opened direct fire to the Bohair Baloch son of Dil Jan. according to eyewitness, Bohair was returning from his agricultural fields when forces indiscriminately opened fire on him. He was shot and killed on the spot.
Akmal Saleh
The brutal extrajudicial killing of Akmal son of Saleh, resident of KoshKalat, Tump, Kech district of Baloch on August 21,2025 by state-backed death squad supported by Pakistan Army.
Iqbal Hakeem
On the morning of August 22, 2025, Iqbal Hakeem including his family member Naeem Baloch were targeted and extrajudicially killed in the Gresha Nadagi area of Khuzdar district of Balochistan by a death squad members.

Usman Maqbol On August 26, 2025, the mutilated body of Usman Maqbol was recovered from Banuk-e-Chadahi in the Pidrak area of Turbat. Usman forcibly disappeared on August 24, 2025 from the main city of Turbat by Pakistani security forces.
