This report documents the alarming human rights violations occurring in Balochistan, focusing on enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. The cases highlight a pattern of state repression, arbitrary detentions, and unlawful executions by Pakistani forces. The data is based on reported cases from January 2025, reflecting the deteriorating human rights situation in the region.

Cases of Enforced Disappearances

In January 2025, multiple cases of enforced disappearances were reported across 14 districts of Balochistan, with some cases extending into parts of Sindh. Kech district recorded the highest number of incidents, with 30 individuals forcibly disappeared. In the month of January 42 people were released after mental and physical torture across Balochistan.

Extrajudicial Killings

Zakria Zaheer s/o Allah Bakhsh, who had previously been a victim of enforced disappearances at the hands of Pakistani forces, was abducted on September 27, 2024, and later released. He was extrajudicially killed on January 11, 2025, near the Oasis School in Gwadar by Pakistani secret agencies.

Inayat Ullah Baloch, a student was extrajudicially killed in Turbat city of Kech district of Balochistan on January 1,2025

Jehanzaib Baloch, who sustained fatal injuries after being struck by a vehicle during a peaceful protest at Hoshap zero-point area in Kech district of Balochistan. Despite medical intervention, Jehanzaib succumbed to severe internal injuries, including arterial ruptures and internal bleeding.

Itefaq Ahmed (Afzal Manzoor) had been forcibly disappeared from Turbat Absar on 10th December 2024 and remained in custody, was killed by a staged explosion in Jusak area of Turbat, Kech district of Balochistan on January 13,2025.

Muhammad son of Rozi, resident of Mand tehsil area of Kech district of Balochistan was extrajudicially killed by state-backed death squad in front of his family on January14, 2025.

Jalal Ahmed son of Rafiq, resident of Turbat the main city of Kech district of Balochistan, was extrajudicially killed by state-backed death squad on January 4, 2025.

Waheed Baloch son of Abdul Wahid, resident of Kallag area in Panjgur district, was killed killed by gunfire from Pakistani forces. According to his family, he was transporting cattle in a vehicle when Pakistani forces fired on him, killing him on January 25, 2025, in the Mashkil area of Chaghi district, Balochistan.

Pindok, son of Soomar, a resident of the Mazarabad area in Mashkai Tehsil, Awaran district, had been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces on January 14, 2025, from his home. During his custody, Pindok was subjected to severe torture before being killed. His body was handed over to his family on January 26, 2025.
