This report documents the alarming human rights violations occurring in Balochistan, with a particular focus on enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. The cases recorded during March 2026 reveal a deeply concerning pattern of state repression, arbitrary detentions, physical and psychological torture, and unlawful executions carried out by Pakistani security forces. These abuses underscore a continuing climate of impunity and fear across the Balochistan.
During March 2026, Balochistan, along with reported cases from Karachi and Lahore, experienced a sustained surge in violations.
A total of 56 cases of enforced disappearances were documented, reflecting widespread and systematic targeting of civilians. Additionally, 22 victims were released after enduring severe mental and physical torture, further illustrating the use of coercive interrogation methods.
During this month, 29 confirmed cases of extrajudicial killings were recorded, highlighting the lethal consequences of unchecked state power.
These findings reflect the deteriorating human rights situation in Balochistan and indicate an urgent need for independent investigations, accountability mechanisms, and international monitoring to protect vulnerable communities.

A total of 56 individuals were forcibly disappeared across Balochistan. These incidents reflect ongoing patterns of arbitrary arrest, incommunicado detention, and denial of due process.

Extrajudicial Killings
Talib Nazeer
Talib Nazeer, a Balochi-language singer and shopkeeper from the Minaz area of Buleda, Kech district, was shot and killed at his home. Talib wasn’t armed. He was a civilian who used his voice to celebrate and preserve Balochi language, culture and identity. State-backed death squad are empowered by the state to carry out the targeted attack.
Yahya Noor Muhammad
On October 1, 2025, Yahya Baloch son of Noor Muhammad, a resident of Paroom tehsil of Panjgur district, was forcibly disappeared from the Airport road Chitkan in Panjgur by state-backed death squad. On March 3, 2026, his bullet-riddled body was found dumped in Washbood area of Panjgur.
Yahya Fazal
On March 3, 2026 Yahya Baloch son of Fazal Karim, a 17-year-old student and resident of Khudabadan Panjgur was forcibly disappeared from his home by the FC without any warrant or legal process. On March 4, 2026 was extrajudicially killed and his bullet-riddled body was discovered from the near of FC camp in Panjgur.
Fateh Baloch
Fateh Baloch son of Shah Dad, a driver from Mewar, Mashkai, forcibly disappeared on January 13, 2026. He was taken from near the main Army camp in Mashkai, while he was carrying passengers in his vehicle. Army personnel stopped his vehicle in front of the main camp and took Fateh Baloch inside the camp. According to his family, the Army accepted, taking him into their custody. His father was told by the army that his son would be killed. After one and a half month of disappearance, his bullet-riddled body was found in the river of Mashkai on March 4, 2026. Fateh Baloch was a civilian driver earning to feed his family.
Dilawar Khan
Dilawar Khan Son of Lal Bakhsh, a resident of Nodz, Turbat was a Lecturer at the Sub-campus of the University of Balochistan in Kharan district. On the morning of March 4, 2026 Dilawar Khan and his colleague Bilal Ahmed, son of Ghulam Jan and a resident of Panjgur were attacked by a state-backed death squad in front of the Sub-Campus Kharan. As a result of the attack, Dilawar Khan was killed on the spot, while Bilal Ahmed severely injured.
Ganj Bakhsh
Ganj Bakhsh son of Meeran, is a resident of Zeek Geshkor in the tehsil of Awaran district, who worked his a Zamyad driver was forcibly disappeared by the Frontier Crops on December 27, 2025 from the Garadi Kolowa military checkpoint. He remained in military custody for more than two months after his abduction on March 5, 2026 his tortured and bullet-riddled body was handed over to his family.
Sher Jan
On November 22,2025 Sher Jan son of Zabad Baloch, a resident of Korak, Jahoo, Awaran district was forcibly taken from the Main Bazar of industrial city in Hub Chowki by military intelligence agencies. On March 5, 2026 his bullet-riddled was found dumped along with 3 more dead bodies in the area of Teertage of Awaran district.
Niaz Baloch
Niaz Baloch son Allah Bakhsh, a 24- year-old driver from Sabzal Bazar, Paroom was shot and killed on March 5, 2026 in the Kaleri, Paroom tehsil of Panjgur district. Niaz belonged to a poor family and worked as a driver to support his household.
Zakir Baloch
Zakir Baloch son Abdin, a driver from Sabzal Bazar, Paroom was shot and killed on March 5, 2026 in the Kaleri, Paroom tehsil of Panjgur district. Zakir Baloch belonged to a poor family and worked as a driver to support his household.
Umar Jan
Umar Jan son Ali, a driver from Sabzal Bazar, Paroom was shot and killed on March 5, 2026 in the Kaleri, Paroom tehsil of Panjgur district. Umar Jan belonged to a poor family and worked as a driver to support his household.
Nadil Baloch
Nadil Baloch, son of Zabad, was abducted on 23 November 2025 by FC personnel from Waja-e-Bagh Bazaar in Jahoo and subsequently subjected to enforced disappearance. After months in custody, his body was recovered from the Jahoo area of Korak, Awaran, on 5 March 2026. He was the brother of Sher Jan Baloch, who had also been abducted and was killed on 5 March 2026, along with three others.
Haleem Baloch
Haleem Baloch son of Muhammad Sadiq, a 30-year-old shopkeeper from Panjgur, was abducted on 19 February 2026 by a state-backed death squad from Khudabadan Masjid in Panjgur. He was a civilian and the primary earner for his family. His body was later recovered from the Panjgur Airport area and was identified by his family at Civil Hospital Panjgur.
Hammal Hassni
Hammal Hassni son of Samad Hassni, professionally an advocate, was killed by personnel of the FC on March 6, 2026 in the Koh-e-Sabz Palantak area of Panjgur district of Balochistan.
Mehbob Baloch
Mehbob Baloch son of Amanullah, from Guwargu Panjgur, who was forcibly disappeared eight months ago, was subjected to killing at the hands of Frontier Crops on March 8, 2026 in the Shapatan area of Panjgur district of Balochistan.
Asif Baloch
Asif Baloch son of Nazeer Ahmed, an 18- year-old driver and resident of Singabad, was shot and killed. Asif was a civilian driver, who spent his days working to support his family. He carried no weapons, but only crime is that he was a Baloch.
Muhammad Ismail
Muhammad Ismail son of Lashkari Khan Kubdani, a 24-year-old Shopkeeper and labourer, was targeted and killed by state-backed death squads on March 9, 2026 at 8; 15 AM in Kharan. He had survived enforced disappearance in June 2025 and was released in January 2026, only to be hunted and killed weeks later.
Abdullah Baloch
Abdullah Baloch son of Karim Jan, a 27- year-old resident of Mawach Panjgur, was targeted killed by state-backed death squads on March 10, 2026, at around 5, 30 Pm in Mawach Chowk. He was an unemployed young man from the local community.
Zameer Ahmed
Zameer Ahmed son of Nasir Dagarzai, an 18-year-old student from the Surdu area of Panjgur was extrajudicially killed after eight days of enforced disappearance. He was forcibly disappeared on March 3, 2026 from Tarfees, Chitkan in Panjgur by state-backed death squads. He was dumped on March 11, 2026 in the Washap area of Panjgur.
Abdullah Baloch
Abdullah Baloch son of Haji Dad Muhammad, a 23-year-old driver from Resh Pesh Paroom, Panjgur was targeted and killed in the Panjgur area on March 20, 2026.
Ubaid Ullah
Ubaid Ullah son of Amanullah and a resident of Hajika Surab district was returning home when he was shot near Hajika cross by Frontier Corps personnel, who was labelled him a militant. He was a farmer who worked to earn money to support his family.
Muhammad Amir
Muhammad Amir son of Dil Murad, a young resident of Killi Kariz Sur, Mastung, was forcibly taken from his home and shot dead by the FC personnel on the eve of Eid ul-Fitr. He was killed within five minutes of the raid, without any warrant or any explanation.
Yawar Baloch
Yawar Baloch son of Habib Baloch, was an 18-year-old tailor, earning a simple living. On June 16, 2026, he stood with his father outside the High Court Turbat and forcibly taken by the state military agencies. After 9 months and 10 days of enforced disappearance on March 26, 2026 his bullet-riddled body was discovered from the area of Banuk-e-Chadai in Turbat area of Kech district of Balochistan.
Faraz Baloch
According to verified information received by Paank, Faraz Baloch son of Riaz Ahmed, resident of the Daznap area in Panjgur was present at his home when members of a state-backed death squad reportedly arrived and attempted to forcibly abduct him. In an effort to save his life, Faraz tried to escape the unlawful detention. During his attempt to flee, he was directly targeted and struck by gunfire, leaving him critically injured.
Israr Baloch On March 28, 2026, the bullet-riddled body of Israr Baloch son of Tariq Baloch, was discovered in the Kisak area of Turbat, in Kech district, Balochistan. According to family sources, Israr was taken into custody by security forces approximately four months earlier from a hotel in the Chahsar area of Turbat city, after which his whereabouts remained unknown. According to his family he was extrajudicially killed while in custody on March 28, 2026 and his bullet-riddled was dumped in Kisak, Turbat.
Other Incidents
Curfew in Zehri Brings Daily Life to a Standstill
On 3 March, the army enforced a curfew in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district, bringing routine life to a halt. Markets, transportation, and businesses were shut down, restricting public movement and confining thousands of residents to their homes. Local reports indicated that the prolonged restrictions resulted in shortages of essential commodities such as food, flour, milk, vegetables, and medicines. The suspension of economic activity also created serious financial difficulties, especially for daily wage earners.
Quetta ATC Lists 12 as Absconders
On 8 March, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Quetta declared 12 individuals as proclaimed offenders in a related case, including Dr. Sabiha Baloch, Dr Shali Baloch and Gulzar Dost Baloch.
Detained Woman Recast as Militant Suspect
Farzana Baloch, detained on 1 December 2025 in Khuzdar, was later presented in 18 March 2026 as a suspected suicide bomber. Officials alleged links to militant groups and claimed she had been undergoing training, but no public evidence has been provided.
Authorities, including the Balochistan Chief Minister, accused militants of exploiting women, while activists and human rights groups rejected these claims as an attempt to criminalise dissent.
Her case highlights concerns over enforced disappearances, lack of transparency, and potential narrative control. For four months, her whereabouts remained undisclosed, causing distress to her family.
Late-Night Raid on Activist’s Home in Turbat
On 12 March, personnel from MI and FC conducted a late-night raid at the residence of human rights and BYC activist Syad Bibi Baloch in Turbat. Family members present during the operation reportedly faced harassment. Her name had previously been added to the Fourth Schedule on 16 October 2025, and she had been regularly appearing before the CTD for attendance in compliance with legal requirements.
Drone Attack reported in Zehri, Khuzdar
On March 29, 2026 a drone attacked was reported in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district, but due to lack of communication and shutdown of internet in Balochistan, we cannot confirmed the casualties. According to unconfirmed reports 2 casualties were reported.
Deadly Mortar Strike on Civilian Home in Kolowa, Awaran
On March 31, 2026, a fatal incident took place in the Bangul Bazar area of Kolowa, situated in the Malar region of Awaran district. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 PM, following an attack on a nearby military camp by Baloch armed groups. In response, security forces reportedly used heavy weaponry, including mortar shelling, in areas close to civilian settlements.
During the exchange, a mortar shell struck a residential house in Bangul Bazar, resulting in the immediate death of three members of the same family. The victims included:
- Muhammad Umar (60)
- Faiza Baloch (57)
- Mahzaib Baloch (a fifth-grade student)
The incident led to the loss of an entire family unit, highlighting the severe impact of hostilities on civilians in the area.
