BALOCHISTAN HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT –February 2026

This report documents the alarming human rights violations occurring in Balochistan, with a particular focus on enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. The cases recorded during February 2026 reveal a deeply concerning pattern of state repression, arbitrary detentions, physical and psychological torture, and unlawful executions carried out by Pakistani security forces. These abuses underscore a continuing climate of impunity and fear across the Balochistan.

During February 2026, Balochistan, along with reported cases from Karachi in Sindh, Dera Ghazi Khan (Punjab) experienced a sustained surge in violations.

A total of 109 cases of enforced disappearances were documented, reflecting widespread and systematic targeting of civilians. Additionally, 41 victims were released after enduring severe mental and physical torture, further illustrating the use of coercive interrogation methods.

During this month, 50 confirmed cases of extrajudicial killings were recorded, highlighting the lethal consequences of unchecked state power. These findings reflect the deteriorating human rights situation in Balochistan and indicate an urgent need for independent investigations, accountability mechanisms, and international monitoring to protect vulnerable communities.

Cases of Enforced Disappearances

A total of 109 individuals were forcibly disappeared across Balochistan. These incidents reflect ongoing patterns of arbitrary arrest, incommunicado detention, and denial of due process.

Notably: 41 individuals were later released after enduring mental and physical torture.

Extrajudicial Killings

The extrajudicial killings by Pakistani forces in Balochistan continue unabated. The Pakistani military is reportedly detaining and killing individuals without due process for undisclosed reasons. In the month of February 41 People were extrajudicially killed.

The following section provides detailed accounts of reported incidents, highlighting cases of extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, torture, and other human rights violations documented during February 2026.

Karim Jan

Karim Jan son of Malang also known as Jasim, a driver from meerabad Gadagi Turbat was forcibly disappeared by the Pakistani forces from Turbat Plus market on 2 January 2026 and later extrajudicially killed in Balgater Kech on 1 February 2026.

Yasir lehri

On February 2, 2026, in Mastung Yasir lehri son of Muhammad Hanif lehri, a tailor was killed by Pakistani security forces in an apparent extrajudicial act. His body has not been handed over to his family, denying them the right to perform last rites.

Deedagh Baloch

Deedagh Baloch was only three years old and at an age of pure innocence, where a child has barely begun to know the world. At an age meant for laughter and dreams, his life was violently cut short.

Jasim Baloch

Jasim Baloch, a labourer, son of Muhammad Adam and a resident of Panjgur, who had been forcibly disappeared earlier was extrajudicially killed and his mutilated body was recovered from the Washbood area of Panjgur on February 3, 2026.

Babu Atta Muhammad

Babu Atta Muhammad was a 60 years old, was shot dead due to direct firing carried out by the Pakistani army, killing someone so brutally is a blatant violation of humanity.

Shezad Ahmed

Shezad Ahmed, the twelve-year-old son of Zafar Ahmed was a child whose life revolved around his schoolbooks. His life was violently ended on February 3, 2026, when he became the victim of state- sanctioned violence.

Bakhshi Baloch

Bakhshi Baloch son of Haliq Dad, a labour by profession and resident of Talsar Hoshab area of Kech district. On February 3, 2026 Bakhshi Baloch was travelling from Turbat city to his home in Talsar Hoshab located in the Kech district. While passing through the Shapuk area of Turbat, he was reportedly detained by a state-backed death squad. Tragically on February 4,2026 only a day after his abduction, Bakhshi tortured body was discovered in the same area of Shapuk where he had been taken.

Balach Baloch

On the evening of February 4, 2026 Balach Baloch son of Khalid and a resident of Momin Mohalla Turbat was shot dead in a targeted attack. According to local sources, unknown motorcyclists linked to a state-backed death squad opened fire on him and fled the scene. Balach was targeted in the Singanisar graveyard, where he had gone to offer Fatiha on the first anniversary of the Baloch scholar Allah Dad Wahid.

Kareem Bakhsh

On 4 February 2026 Kareem Bakhsh son of Rafique Shah and a resident of Rudbon, Tump area of Kech district, working as a labourer in Kuntani, Gwadar was shot dead by the Frontier Corps.

Hassan Basri

On February 4, 2026 Hassan Basri was killed after security forces opened fire in Nushki city.

Muhammad Anwer

Muhammad Anwer was a 44 year-old famer by profession. On June 4, 2025 he was forcibly disappeared by the Counter-Terrorism-Department (CTD) from a mosque near his home in Killi Safar Ali, Jungle, and Dukki. After being held in enforced disappearance, his dead body was dumped on January 4, 2026.

Muhammad Fareed

Baloch Muhammad Fareed Baloch belonged to Killi Safar Ali Jungle, Dukki. He was a 20 year-old farmer who supported his family through honest labour. He came from a poor family and became the primary breadwinner after his father was forcibly disappeared. On June 4, 2025Muhammad Fareed was forcibly disappeared from his home. For eight months his family searched for him in fear and uncertainty, receiving no information, answers or accountability from the authorities. On February 6, 2026, his tortured body was recovered after months of illegal detention in the custody of the CTD.

Muhammad Jan

Muhammad Jan son of Atta Ullah was killed in a Landmine blast in the Semsarri area of Mand, Kech district on 7 February 2026. Local sources believe the mine was planted by the security forces.

Pazeer Baloch

Pazeer Baloch son of Muhammad Amin was forcibly disappeared on November 25, 2025 from Washbood, Panjgur by state-backed death squad. For months, his family searched for him, hoping he would be return alive. Instead on February 7, 2026 his bullet-riddled body was dumped in Washbood Panjgur.

Nisar Baloch

On 8 February 2026, a Mutilated body was found in the Kochag area of Buleda, identified as Nisar Baloch son of Adina, a resident of Alandor Buleda. Local sources confirmed that he was forcibly disappeared by a state-backed death squad and extrajudicially killed on the same day.

Kamal Dad

Kamal Dad son of Haji Dad Muhammad, a 25 year-old driver from Sholeeg Dasht, was targeted and killed by a state-backed death squad in Kuntani, Gwadar. He was attacked while returning to Gwadar from Kuntani and succumbed to the fatal assault. Kamal Dad had previously been forcibly disappeared in 2025 and was released after one month of illegal detention.

Nawab Abdulla

Nawab Abdulla was forcibly taken from his home in Washbood Panjgur by Pakistani forces on May 29, 2025. For eight months, his family received no information about him whereabouts. On February 14, 2026 his bullet-riddled body recovered from the Washbood Panjgur.

Minhas Baloch

Student Minhas Baloch a 17 year-old son of Master Zafar Baloch was reportedly killed in a targeted attack by a state-backed death squad in Tump on February 14, 2026.

Faraz Baloch

Faraz Baloch son of Bahadur, a 23 year-old resident of KoshKalat Tump was shot dead by state-backed death squad on February 14, 2026 in the Chagoogi area of Tump tehsil of Kech district.

Junaid Ahmed

Junaid Ahmed son of Ali Muhammad, a 22 year-old student and a resident of Surab, was forcibly disappeared on January 23, 2026. He was forcibly taken from the Children’s Hospital Quetta by the personnel of the Eagle force and CTD. His body was bound with his hands and feet tied and his body was riddled with bullets, pointing toward a custodial killing enforced disappearance.

Shahbaz Khan

On February 15, 2026, Shahbaz Khan Son of Muhammad, and a resident of raagey Tanake area of Washuk district was shot and killed at home at night by a state-backed death squad.

Jangiyan Baloch

Jangiyan Baloch, a Matric student and son of Abdul Rasheed from Panjgur was reportedly subjected to enforced disappearance on May 26, 2025 from Jaeen Paroom. According to his family he was allegedly taken by a death squad along with the personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC). On February 15, 2026 his body was reportedly discovered dumped in the Shapatan area of Panjgur.

Hamdan Baloch

Hamdan Baloch son of Muhammad Ali, resident of Mangopir, Purana Golimar, and Karachi was forcibly disappeared on December 29, 2025 from Dubai Goth Golimar, Karachi by the personnel of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). After 50 days in custody on February 17, 2026 CTD announced that Hamdan was among several individuals Killed during an armed encounter in Shah Latif Town, Karachi on December 17, 2026. On the same day three more young were also killed by the CTD with Hamdan Baloch. Two of them identified as, Jaleel Ahmed son Noor Muhammad and Niaz Qadir son of Qadir Bakhsh but third body was didn’t identified. 

Dolat Baloch

Dolat Baloch son of Badal from Tejaban, Singabad belonged to a poor family, working the land of his ancestors. In March 2022, the Frontier Crops (FC) raided his home. Dolat and his 12-year-old brother were forcibly disappeared and held in darkness. After on month they were released. But the shadow of oppression never left him. Dolat returned to his daily life, carrying the memory of injustice. On February 18, 2026, while returning home around 2pm, he was killed in cold blood by a motorcycle- mounted death squad.

Budda Lashari

Budda Lashari son of Muhammad Murad, a resident of lehri area of Sibbi district forcibly disappeared from his home 9 months ago by the Pakistani security forces. On February 18, 2026 his bullet-riddled dumped along with 6 bodies in the region of Barkhan district of Balochistan. They were extrajudicially killed in a fake encounter.

Akbar Domki

Akbar Domki son of Nawab Domki, a labourer and a resident of Lehri in Sibbi district of Balochistan in 2024. On February 18, 2026.  He was killed in a stage encounter in Barkhan district, alongside five others previously disappeared individual.

Mahkan Lashari

Mahkan Lashari son of Mureed, a resident of lehri area of Sibbi district was forcibly disappeared from his home 9 months ago by the Pakistani security forces. On February 18, 2026 his bullet-riddled dumped along with 6 bodies in the region of Barkhan district of Balochistan. They were extrajudicially killed in a fake encounter.

Manzoor Jatoai

Manzoor Jatoai son of Gull Muhammad Jatoai, a resident of lehri area of Sibbi district was forcibly disappeared from his home 9 months ago by the Pakistani security forces. On February 18, 2026 his bullet-riddled dumped along with 6 bodies in the region of Barkhan district of Balochistan. They were extrajudicially killed in a fake encounter.

Siddique Bugti

Siddique Bugti son of Nofal Bughti, a resident of lehri area of Sibbi district was forcibly disappeared from his home 9 months ago by the Pakistani security forces. On February 18, 2026 his bullet-riddled dumped along with 6 bodies in the region of Barkhan district of Balochistan. They were extrajudicially killed in a fake encounter.

Murtaza Baloch

On February 9,2026 Murtaza Baloch son of Yahya from Marap, Surab was taken by Frontier Crops at Mall FC Chowki on the main RCD road Surab. On February 20, 2026, eleven days after his bullet-riddled body was recovered.

Taimoor Baloch

On February 9,2026 Taimoor Baloch son of Imam Bakhsh from Marap, Surab was taken by Frontier Crops at Mall FC Chowki on the main RCD road Surab. On February 20, 2026, eleven days after his bullet-riddled body was recovered.

Janzaib Baloch

Janzaib Baloch son of Ali, a 20-year-old student and resident of Soorag Niyam Patak Essai area of Panjgur district was forcibly taken by state-backed death squad from his home. February 20, 2026 his bullet-riddled body was dumped in Panjgur.

Awais Baloch

Awais Baloch son of Muhammad Yar, a resident of The Khudabadan area of Panjgur, was a student. He was forcibly disappeared from his home on February 23 at around 5pm. On February 24, his dead body was dumped at Civil Hospital Panjgur. His body bore clear signs of severe torture.

Nasram Baloch

Nasram Baloch son of Peer Bakhsh, from Mehnaz Buleda belonged to a poor family. He was forcibly disappeared on 12, 2024. On February 26, 2026 his tortured and lifeless body was found dumped in the Makseen nadi area, bearing clear signs of severe abuse.

Imran Taj

Imran Taj son of Taj Baloch. Aged 26 from SariKalag, Gwrkop was a bright student at the University of Turbat, enrolled in the IBLC department. On June 27, 2025 after his classes, he was travelling from the University to his home in Mohledy Reik, Absar Turbat. On February 27, 2026 his body was found in Kech Kor Turbat, showing clear signs of Torture.

Manzoor Baloch

Manzoor Baloch son of Nabi Dad was only 17-year-old, a child, a student of 8th class at Boys High School from Kolwahi Bazar, Absar Turbat. On July 8, 2025 he was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces from home. On February 26, 2026 his body was found dumped in Kech Kor, Turbat. Instead of justice, his parents were handed his lifeless body.

Note: In February, the Frontier Corps, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), military intelligence, and other state institutions conducted four separate staged encounters in Karachi, Barkhan, and Quetta. During these operations, 21 individuals were killed in extrajudicial executions. Of those killed, nine have been identified and were previously subjected to enforced disappearance by Pakistani forces.

The identities of the remaining individuals could not be confirmed. There are serious concerns that these bodies may also belong to people who had been forcibly disappeared.

The Government of Balochistan and state institutions have implemented policies in Balochistan reminiscent of colonial-era practices. Given the severity of the situation, many families are hesitant to claim the bodies of their loved ones, fearing severe forms of collective punishment if they come forward
